Our Story

More than braids

Our story started long before the bookings, products, or salon suite. It started in a home filled with conversation, culture, and the familiar rhythm of braids being done with love.

Watching the women around us care for hair taught us that beauty was never just about appearance. It was about confidence, identity, softness, and feeling seen.

"I started doing hair at just 9 years old, falling in love with the creativity, connection, and care that came with every style."

As a first-generation Cameroonian woman raised in Chicago, hair became connection — a way to bring women together, celebrate our roots, and create spaces where every woman could feel beautiful.

Today, Njinzie Hair & Beauty is where beauty meets comfort, culture meets modern luxury, and every appointment is designed to make you feel cared for from start to finish.

Booking Policies

We honor your time, please honor ours.

Booking & Deposits
  • All appointments must be booked online only.
  • A $100 non-refundable deposit is required for all bookings via Zelle: (312) 292-8971.
  • Deposits are applied to your final balance.
  • Deposit must be sent within 30 minutes of booking or your appointment will be cancelled.
Payments
  • Remaining balance is due in cash only.
  • Deposits accepted via Zelle only.
  • Prices are subject to change.
  • Any additional services or human hair used will be added to the final balance.
Cancellations & No-Shows
  • Please provide at least 48 hours notice to cancel or reschedule.
  • Late cancellations result in deposit forfeiture.
  • No-shows result in cancellation and full deposit forfeiture.
  • Repeated no-shows may require full prepayment for future bookings.
Refunds, Health & Photos
  • All services are final sale, no refunds.
  • If dissatisfied, contact us within 24 hours for reasonable adjustments.
  • If ill, please reschedule. We reserve the right to refuse service to protect staff and clients.
  • By booking you consent to promotional use of your style photos unless you opt out in writing before your service.
